Intensive Russian Attacks Cut Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water supplies, according to city officials.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has requested "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the city came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor was killed and three other people were hurt.

The attacks follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
